PIABA Honors and Awards

At its Annual Meeting, David P. Neuman was named the recipient of the 2014 PIABA Outstanding Service Award for his service and contributions to Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA).

A member of the PIABA since 1997, Mr. Neuman currently serves as the Co-Chairman of the PIABA SRO Committee, has served on the Legislation Committee, and as an Editor for the PIABA Bar Journal.

October 24, 2014 (Norman, OK)  The 2014 James E. Beckley Writing Competition winners have been announced by The PIABA Foundation. "The judges continue to be impressed with the quality of the writing and depth of understanding of the issues presented in the Competition submissions," said Robin Ringo, Director. "Set to graduate from their respective Law Schools in May 2015, it is our honor to recognize the winning authors."

The Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), an international bar association comprised of attorneys dedicated to the representation of individual investors in disputes with the securities industry, today announced the 2013 PIABA Distinguished Service Award recipient, Mark E. Maddox.

Royal Lea was named the recipient of the 2013 PIABA Outstanding Service Award for her service and contributions to Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA).

A long-standing member of the PIABA and its Amicus Committee, Mr. Lea has authored a number of "friend of the court" briefs submitted by PIABA in federal and state cases.

"Once again, the authors impressed the judges with the quality of their writing and depth of understanding of the issues presented in their submissions," said Robin Ringo, Director.
